Carved from a single stone, the heavily proportioned silhouette, smooth curves, and powerful stature of the M_001 chair push the limits of chair design. Numbered, Signed, and includes Certificate of Authenticity *Given the unique nature of stone, each piece will vary in look. Available in Black Lava Rock (Recinto), Oak, and Walnut.

Monolith is a design studio and gallery featuring a collection of monolithic furniture and objects. Each minimalist piece uses purity of lines and heavy proportions to reveal the natural beauty and sophistication of each material.

Based in NYC, Monolith operates an atelier in both New York and Mexico City where they produce each piece by hand.

Alexander Díaz Andersson Swedish-born, Mexico-based, Alexander Díaz Andersson first opened his design studio on the Yucatán peninsula of Mexico after graduating from the European Institute of Design in Milan in 2008. Inspired by his multi-cultural background and experiences both in Europe and Latin America, his work is informed by Mexico’s architectural, design and cultural environments, and the Scandinavian design vocabulary.
